Visual and Literary Educator

I am not a photojournalist. I am a visual and literary educator. I teach young people to share their experiences with the world.

No one should be able to to tell the story of who you are better than you. I believe that one of the downfalls of AI is its ability to further hijack and/or silence the voices of marginalized individuals whose stories have historically been told for them instead of by them.

If AI is a series of machines learning from humanity, and our collective biases are a learned behavior that affect us all, then the machine also possesses our biases. It should not speak for us, especially when many of us are just now beginning to find our footing as storytellers.
